You essentially need to run the Direct X setup again. I finally found this solution as I noticed that Google Chrome had no sound either and that was where I noticed this fix. Check if the sound is muted and if so, unmute. GTA V needs to be running or it won’t appear. So, I’ll start with the fix that worked for me and then list some of the other solutions for no sound that I researched:
